Chamber Filter Press

Chamber Filter Press is the type of filter press that only use chamber filter plates, no diaphragm(membrane) squeeze plates. Chamber filter press can not perform secondary squeezing after the filling process completed. as a result, chamber filter press usually are not as effective as diaphragm filter press in reducing water content of organic sludge, however, chamber plates are only half prices of diaphragm plates, so initial investment and operation cost would be less.

Chamber filter press can not perform secondary squeezing after the filling process completed. as a result, chamber filter press usually are not as effective as diaphragm filter press in reducing water content of organic sludge, however, chamber plates are only half prices of diaphragm plates, so initial investment and operation cost would be less. it is especially suitable for those jobs that has higher tolerance for remaining water content and for non-compressible materials like mineral ores. Meanwhile we also developed a new type of high pressure chamber filter press, its filtration pressure can reach more than 1.2 MPa; with this filling pressure, it can achieve similar results as regular diaphragm filter press.

Our automatic chamber filter press use computer processor, PLC and touch screen to control every part's operation, such as cylinder, plate shifter, cloth washing, etc.. It also reserves a remote control access port and can realize remote &automatic operation.

With extended oil cylinder, working zone and upgraded mechanic plate shifters, it can discharge several cakes each time. Its main features are high efficiency, reliable performance, low running cost, etc..

The quick-opening system can increase cake discharging efficiency by 3 to 6 times, making it especially suitable for filter press with large number of plates and requesting frequent operations.

Working principle of Chamber Filter Press:

1. Slurry is pumped into the filter press. The solids are distributed evenly on the filter cloths during the feed (fill) cycle.
2. Solids begin to build on the filter cloth, trapping the ensuing particles and building a filter cake. The filter cake acts as a depth       filter for solid/liquid separation. Filtrate exits the plates through the corner ports into the manifold.
3. When the correct valves in the manifold are open, the filtrate exits the press through the filtrate outlet. As the filter press feed    pump builds pressure, the solids build within the chambers until they are completely full of filter cake.
4. Once the chambers are full, the fill cycle is complete and the filter press is ready to be emptied.
