Lime Hydration Plant 5t/h to 6t/h

Lime hydration is a chemical reaction involving precisely controlled water and quicklime ratio to produce dry hydrated lime powder, also called calcium hydroxide. The system to produce dry hydrated lime powder is called lime hydration plant or hydrated lime plant.

Lime Hydrator is the most essential part of the hydrated lime plant. It is an agitated chamber for quicklime(CaO) and water to fully mix and react at a pricisely controlled ratio. For 5t/h to 6t/h DynNor Lime Hydration Plant, the hydration unit is usually consisted of two stage hydrators that stacked one on another or in other arrangements based on client’s floor area. For powder classifying unit, High efficient T-Sepax powder classifier is often used.

Lime Hydrator is the most essential part of a lime hydration plant(also called hydrated lime plant). It is an agitated chamber for quicklime(CaO) and water to fully react at a pricisely controlled ratio to produce dry calcium hydroxide powder(also called hydrated lime). The reaction process is called lime hydration.

Lime Hydration Plant is also known as Hydrated Lime Plant, it usually consists of a series of equipments,eg. lime crusher, bucket elevators, lime weighing feeder, water circuit(pump, flowmeter, flow valve, injection nozzles), multi-stage lime hydrators, air classifier, pulse bag filters or wet scrubber, residue mill, pneumatic conveyors,silos,etc..

Among all the equipments, Lime Hydrator is the key part of the Hydrated Lime Plant. based on the designed capacity and lime quality, the hydration unit may consist of a 2-stage, 3-stage, 4-stage or 5-stage hydrator system.

For our 5t/h to 6t/h Hydrated Lime Plant, the hydration unit is usually consisted of two stage hydrators that stacked one on another or in other arrangements based on client’s floor area. For powder classifying unit, High efficient T-Sepax powder classifier is used.

Our lime hydration system is installed with high accuracy weighing feeder and electromagnetic flowmeters to control the lime feeding rate and monitor the waterflow. There are temperature sensors installed on the hydrators to monitor the hydration temperature in order to timely adjust lime/water ratio to produced high quality hydrated lime.

Standard Flowchart of 5-6T/h hydration system as below. If enough floor space is available, crushed lime storage silo, hydrated lime storage silo before powder separator is also recommended, which would give more flexibility to the production process.

Based on the specific lime quality and the required quality of calcium hydroxide(hydrated lime), adjustments will need to be made accordingly. Please contact us if you need more details.

Applications of Hydrated Lime /Ca(OH)2:

Wastewater Treatment, pH regulation (post and pre-treatment),sugar plants, gold leaching plants
Flue gas desulfurization(FGD),Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) Removal, Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) Removal
Food additives:Ca(OH)2 has highly activity and loose structure, it is popularly added as food additives.
Medical areas:
Construction &painting materials: this is one of traditional uses for Ca(OH)2 due to its reaction with CO2 for form CaCO3
